With Benjamin Zephaniah stating ‘I can’t take my ears off her’, Kate Tempest describing her poetry as ‘welcoming, galvanising and beautiful’ and with fans ranging from Emma Watson, Robin Ince, Pink and Tim Minchen, Ted Hughes Award winner Hollie McNish is a poet whose readings are not to be missed. Expect strong language as she talks fruit and flesh, guilt, sex, politics, death, breasts, transformers and more.
Saaramaria is a poet and a playwright. Having lived in many places she has formed her identity somewhere beyond the borders. She collects books from her travels and aspires to enjoy poetry in multiple languages. Her poems deal with themes such as self-identification, representations and inequality.
Harri Hertell is a spoken word artist, DJ and a producer from Helsinki. He has written five poetry books. His newest book Pelotta was published in May 2018 and it deals with subjects such as fatherhood, family and the brevity of life. The book also touches topical themes like racism and the fear of otherness. Hertell’s poems have been translated into several languages and his work has been published in multiple anthologies and literary magazines.
