Korjaamo Shop

The Korjaamo Shop, located in the Streetcar Hall (Vaunuhalli), has a great selection of books, DVDs, music, and other cultural tidbits to take home with you. The bookshelves hold plenty of volumes on photography and visual art, particularly contemporary art since the 1960s, and also offer a good selection of books on film, theatre, music, and cultural theory.  There’s also a smattering of fiction, and books for kids.

In the DVD section, the Korjaamo shop specializes in classic and rare films, documentaries, Finnish films, as well as new and noteworthy names from Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Celluloid fans of Eastern European film from the 60s and 70s will also find a treat or two here.

Also look for design items, such as Penguin mugs, Soap Factory’s Finnish soaps, Haukku products designed by Anna Huhta, textiles from Fokus Fabrik, and children’s toys and books—both new items, and a few nostalgic numbers from memory lane. And of course: tram-related chic and souvenirs!
