Stand-up comedy is a straight man’s art form for a straight man’s world - or is it?

Feminist Comedy Night says fuck lazy stereotypes; give us something to think about. Expect political, personal, and different viewpoints. Oh, and hilarious jokes. Even from straight men. Feminist Comedy Night has sold out quickly in the past - don’t wait on getting your tickets and join us for the comedy revolution!

Performers speak English and Finnish.

Kallio komediabolaget’s comedian of the year 2016 Jamie MacDonald is - in his own words - transgender, gay, kinky, and worst of all, Canadian. Ten years in Finland was enough to drive him to stand-up comedy, and he’s quickly become one of the sharpest and most interesting performers on the Finnish scene.

“Pay what you want” tickets: PWYW tickets are available at the door on the evening of the show at 18.30. You can pay any amount at all, as long as it’s cash. The number of pay what you want tickets is limited, so to guarantee you get a seat, we recommend buying tickets in advance.

Korjaamo Vintti is an accessible venue (elevator) with gender-neutral toilets.

Safer spaces: Comedy is, by its nature, a form that deals with opinions and contradictions. We aim to challenge rather than reinforce sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, and other minority-based oppression, but do not guarantee you don’t hear anything that fails in this regard. Feminist Comedy Night is a place for comedians and audiences to encounter ideas together. Feedback is welcomed.
